Like most websites, this one automatically collects some technical information when you visit — your browser type, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and your approximate location (based on your IP address). This is aggregate data, used to understand how the site is being used so we can improve it. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Who We Share It With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- With our partner organizations (Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Historic Tree Coalition, Trinity Blacklands Urban Forestry Council, and Cross Timbers Urban Forestry Council) when needed to process a nomination or coordinate work on a tree you’ve identified. If you nominate a tree, your contact information may be shared with the appropriate regional forester or partner organization to follow up with you.
- With service providers that help us run the site, including our hosting provider (WordPress.com, operated by Automattic) and our email provider. These providers handle information only on our behalf and under their own privacy commitments.
- When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process.
Cookies and Tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies — including some set by WordPress.com as our hosting platform — to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, and gather aggregate analytics.
